R&D Analyst - CARE
CARE is Now Hiring: Research and Development Analyst (Full-Time, Remote)

What You'll Do:
The Research and Development Analyst will help design, carry out, and share research that strengthens communities, informs policy, and advances health equity. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams inside and outside CARE (animal welfare advocates, public health experts, community organizers, and more) to assist and support CARE’s R&D initiatives. This role is an integral member of the Research and Development (R&D) division and provides project management and technical assistance support for CARE’s R&D initiatives. They demonstrate a commitment to advancing CARE’s mission to prioritize and amplify Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and other marginalized voices using Narratives, Research, and Community-Centered Investments.
Responsibilities:
Promote a productive R&D culture that is motivated and accountable to promoting health equity
Conduct literature review, stakeholder conversations, and other project development activities
Carry out data collection, data analysis, and report writing for research and evaluation projects
Maintain project alignment and compliance with strategic plans, grants, and budgets
Collaborate internally with CARE’s other divisions: Care Centers, Community Animal Care, Environmental Justice and Policy, Narrative, and the Circle of Learning and Leadership
Prepare written reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts
Present at conferences, webinars, and other public speaking engagements
Collaborate externally with researchers and practitioners in animal welfare, public health, social work, and other related fields
What We're Looking For:
Experience using community-based participatory research and other community-engaged research approaches
At least 2 years experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research experience, including design, data collection, data analysis, and reporting/dissemination
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, research and evaluation participants, and donors
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate to advanced user of Excel, SPSS, and Dedoose or comparable software.
Graduate degree in the social sciences (MA, MSW, PhD) preferred; an equivalent combination of relevant education and compensable work experience will be considered
At least 2 years of work experience in related fields (e.g., animal sheltering or animal control outreach services, community organizing, human service case management, public health administration, environmental health and safety)
Proficiency in one or more languages beyond English (Spanish preferred)
Strong knowledge of inferential statistics and/or qualitative analysis techniques
